Sell PC power management as your own service
One Service Licence covers every customer you look after. You deploy it, you run it, and you set the price.
- A new recurring revenue line from customers you already have
- Savings your customers can see on their energy bills
- A reason to open new doors and win renewals
One licence. All your customers. Your margin.
Instead of each customer buying their own licence, you take out one Service Licence and use it across every organisation you manage.
Take out the licence
One Service Licence a year covers every customer you manage, up to 50,000 PCs in total.
Deploy for each customer
Install the console on each customer's network and add their PCs from Active Directory. It deploys its tiny client automatically, then you set the schedules.
Charge your way
Bill it as a standalone service, add it to an existing contract, or use it to win new business. The pricing is yours.
What one Service Licence covers
Four ways to charge for it
Every MSP prices differently. These are the models that fit most service businesses. Mix them however suits your customers.
Fixed annual fee
One price per customer per year for "energy-managed PCs". Easy to quote and easy to renew.
e.g. £750 a year for a 150-PC school
Per PC, per year
A small charge for every device under management. It grows automatically as your customers do.
e.g. £5 a PC across 2,000 PCs
Share of the savings
Charge a percentage of the electricity your customer saves. The savings report shows the figure, so there's nothing to argue about.
e.g. 20% of what they save in year one
A tier on an existing contract
Add it to a premium or "green" level of your managed service. Customers move up a tier, and the extra margin is yours.
e.g. Gold support now includes energy management
Or use it to win business
Lead generation
Offer prospects a free two-week energy check on their own network. The savings report gives you a reason to come back with a proposal.
Deal closer
Include it in a tender or renewal. "We'll cut what your PCs cost to run" is hard for a competitor to match.
Competitive edge
Give customers real CO₂ figures for their sustainability reporting. That makes you a partner on their net-zero plans, not just their IT support.
Your customers save far more than you charge them
Every organisation you manage is paying to power PCs that nobody is using. TaskForceCO2 lets you turn that waste into a service: you deploy it, you run it, and you charge each customer a small fee per device.
The Service Licence is one fixed price a year, so once it's covered, every device you add is margin. And because a typical PC left on out of hours wastes far more electricity than you'd charge to manage it, it's an easy service to sell.
Example: 3,000 managed PCs
- At £5 per device a year, that's £15,000 of revenue
- That covers the Service Licence on its own
- Your customers could save around £90,000 a year in electricity*
*Illustrative. Based on about £30 saved per PC per year, which depends on how many PCs are left on, their wattage and the customer's tariff.
What could it earn you?
Your customers could save around £90,000 a year.
Service Licence at £14,995 a year. Customer saving assumes about £30 per PC a year. Fair use up to 50,000 PCs.
Built to be dull. In a good way.
TaskForceCO2 has done one job since 2009: switching off PCs nobody is using. It has no cloud account to look after and no dashboards for the sake of it, and it doesn't need the internet to run. Once a customer's schedules are set, it quietly gets on with it.
That matters when you're the one supporting it. Fewer moving parts means fewer tickets, and more of the fee is margin.
- Runs on each customer's own network, with nothing hosted to maintain
- Works with the Active Directory they already have
- A tiny client the console deploys for you, even to PCs that were off
- Keeps working through internet outages
- Collects no user data, so security reviews are short
The Service Licence
One price a year for your whole customer base, built to be recovered quickly.
Recovered in year one
Designed to pay for itself from one or two larger customers. Two customers with 1,500 PCs each, at £5 a PC, cover the licence.
Then it pays for itself
If your customers are on annual contracts, their renewals cover your licence in year two, year three and beyond. Everything else is margin.
No lock-in
It's a one-year licence. There's no long contract and nothing renews automatically. Renew each year only if it's working for you.

Questions MSPs Ask
What does the Service Licence cost?
£14,995 a year. It covers every customer organisation you manage, up to 50,000 PCs in total, with support and upgrades for the licence year.
What does "fair use" mean?
The licence is designed for up to 50,000 PCs across all your customers. If you grow beyond that, talk to us and we'll agree something that works for both of us.
Who supports our customers?
You look after your customers, as you do with the rest of your services. We support you, so your team always has someone to go to.
What kind of customers is it suited to?
Organisations with Windows PCs on an on-premises network, usually with Active Directory: schools, colleges, universities, offices and public sector sites. It isn't designed for devices that are only managed through the cloud.
Does any customer data leave their network?
No. TaskForceCO2 runs inside each customer's network and collects no user data. Nothing is sent to us or to any cloud service.
Can we try it before we commit?
Yes. Download the free trial and run it on your own network, or with a customer. It's fully working for 14 days on up to 250 PCs.
How do we pay?
Use the MSP order form with your purchase order number and we'll invoice you directly. If you'd like to talk it through first, send us an enquiry below.
